All St. Olivian Studio Series Cosmetic Brushes are hand made from start to finish. The hair is hand picked, combed, cupped and fingered. We use black nickel-plated ferrules filled with a heat-activated epoxy. Our handles are close-grained white birch hardwood. We apply 5 coats of flat-black lacquer, which provides a lasting attractive finish. All St. Olivian Brushes have black nickel-plated ferrules and flat-black lacquered handles that reduce glare and provide a positive contrast to the skin surface.
All St. Olivian Cosmetic Handles are dipped in a certified lead-free lacquer. Many cosmetic brush handles manufactured by other brush companies are coated with a lead-based paint. Lead is a known toxin to animals, children and adults. St. Olivian Studio Series Cosmetic Implements are made from the finest materials available.
Each brush is individually inspected in our factory. Quality control and attention to detail along with extensive testing is only possible with a brush that is hand-made in America. At St. Olivian, we make a conscious effort to support the protection of the environment and fight against animal testing. No animal is killed or tortured to supply our hair material.
